01 / More than an online presence

Make it easier to understand
why your business matters.

Your website should help people understand what you do, see why it is relevant and know how to contact you.

A confusing menu, outdated presentation or incomplete portfolio can make that harder than it needs to be. We approach website development by connecting your audience’s questions with the information and interactions they need.

Meridian Business Consultancy Ltd helps plan and develop business websites and portfolio websites around clear priorities. Whether you are starting from scratch or improving an existing site, we work through the structure, design, content and functionality before moving toward launch.

Good design is visible.
The details make it useful.

We consider how visitors find information, how the website behaves across screens and how your team will manage it after launch.

Discuss your requirements
01

Content people can navigate

Group information into understandable pages with descriptive headings, clear menus and relevant links. Give each page a purpose and make the next step easy to find.

02

Responsive design and accessible interactions

Adapt layouts for mobile, tablet and desktop. Consider readable type, contrast, form labels and keyboard navigation when designing important interactions.

03

Search-friendly foundations

Plan meaningful page titles, heading structure, internal links and image descriptions. Discuss redirects for changed URLs and identify any further SEO work your project needs.

04

Performance considered during development

Review image sizes, asset loading and unnecessary complexity. Hosting and third-party tools also affect performance, so the checks and environment are agreed with you.

05

Enquiries and integrations that have a purpose

Connect the agreed contact forms and relevant business tools. Test the important submission paths and clarify the services, accounts and permissions they rely on.

06

A website your team can maintain

Choose a practical content-editing approach and agree the handover information you need. Confirm ownership, access and ongoing maintenance responsibilities before launch.

04 / From brief to launch

A clear process.
Room to get the details right.

We agree the important decisions and review stages so you know what happens next and where your input is needed.

06 / Website development FAQs

Before you build.
Know what to ask.

Here are some of the questions that help define a website or portfolio project.

Ask about your website
What is the difference between a business website and a portfolio website?

A business website usually focuses on your organisation, services and customer enquiries. A portfolio website gives more space to selected projects and examples of your work. Many websites combine both, with the balance shaped around your audience and goals.

Can you redesign an existing WordPress website?

Yes. We can discuss your current WordPress site, the changes you need and any features or content that should be retained. The initial review helps identify whether focused updates or a more extensive redesign would better suit the agreed requirements.

Will the website work on mobile devices?

Responsive design is part of the development approach. Layouts and important interactions are checked at representative mobile, tablet and desktop sizes, including navigation, readable content and enquiry forms.

Can I edit the website after it launches?

We can plan an editable content setup, such as WordPress, around the areas your team needs to manage. The platform, access permissions and handover guidance are agreed during the project so you understand how to make routine updates.

Do you provide the written content and images?

Content writing and design support can be discussed as part of the project. We agree who supplies copy, photography, brand materials and portfolio examples, including any licensing requirements. These items are not assumed to be included without confirmation.

How much does a website cost and how long does it take?

Cost and timing depend on the number of pages, design requirements, features, content readiness and review stages. We discuss these factors before proposing a scope and schedule. Changes to the agreed requirements are reviewed for their effect on the project.

Does website development include SEO?

The project can include search-friendly foundations such as page structure, titles, internal links and image descriptions. Ongoing SEO, keyword research, content programmes and local search work should be scoped separately where needed. Development alone does not guarantee a search position.

What happens to existing links during a redesign?

We review the planned page structure and identify URLs that may change. Redirect requirements and checks should be included in the agreed migration work so visitors can reach the relevant content after launch.

Are hosting, maintenance and support included?

These arrangements are confirmed separately in the project scope. Before launch, we clarify who manages the domain, hosting, updates and backups, along with any agreed maintenance or support service and its costs.
