Meridian / Video Editing

Shape your footage into a clear story.

Make your recorded content easier to follow and more purposeful to watch. Meridian helps turn footage, sound and brand elements into videos designed around your audience and delivery channels.

01 / The purpose behind the work

Every edit makes a choice.
Keep the story moving.

A useful business video needs a clear message, a sensible pace and a reason for the viewer to keep watching.

We review the material available and build an edit around the intended outcome. That may mean explaining a service, drawing attention to an event or turning a longer recording into focused pieces for your channels.

The approach considers structure, audio, titles and delivery format together. We agree the intended length and level of finishing before editing so the result fits both your message and the source material.

03 / Details that make a difference

A considered cut.
A more coherent viewing experience.

Editing brings the story, technical details and final format together. Each decision should support the message.

01

A clear editorial direction

Agree the central message and intended audience. Decide what belongs in the edit and what can be left out to keep the story focused.

02

Pacing and structure

Arrange scenes and key points into a logical sequence. Use transitions with purpose and leave enough time for important information to be understood.

03

Audio that supports the story

Review speech, music and background sound within the agreed finishing scope. The quality of the original recording affects what can be improved.

04

Titles and captions

Plan readable on-screen text and agreed caption delivery. Check names, terminology and supplied wording during review.

05

Consistent visual presentation

Apply agreed branding and appropriate colour adjustments. Keep the finish coherent while accounting for differences in the supplied footage.

06

Delivery for the intended channel

Agree aspect ratios, durations and export requirements. Review how the edit works in each included version rather than relying on one format everywhere.

Ask about your project
Do you provide filming as well as editing?

This service focuses on editing supplied footage. Any filming, location work or production support needs to be discussed and agreed separately.

What footage should I send?

Share the available video and audio files, along with notes about useful scenes and the message you want to convey. Original files are preferable to heavily compressed copies where available.

Can you turn a long video into social clips?

Yes. We can identify suitable sections and edit an agreed number of shorter clips. Each version may require a different opening, framing or caption layout for its intended channel.

Are subtitles included?

Subtitles or on-screen captions can be included in the scope. We confirm the language, accuracy review, styling and whether you need embedded captions, a separate subtitle file or both.

Can you add music and stock footage?

These can be discussed where appropriate. Any third-party music, footage or graphics must have suitable usage rights, and licensing costs are confirmed separately where applicable.

Can poor-quality footage be fixed?

Some issues can be improved, but editing cannot reliably recover information that was not captured. We review the material and explain practical limitations before agreeing the level of finishing.

How are revisions handled?

We agree review stages and revision rounds at the start. Time-coded, consolidated feedback helps identify exact changes and keeps later versions aligned with the approved direction.
